Advice Network
The Advice Network project, which began in July 2009, is funded for three and a half years to develop an advice network across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
The aim of the project is to help defend and maintain a diverse and professional range of advice services across the region, and to help organisations improve the way they meet the needs of their clients. The project is funded by the Big Lottery Advice Plus Fund and the Baring Foundations’ Strengthening the Voluntary Sector Fund.
Avon and Bristol Law Centre are the lead agency on the project and are responsible for the staff and for reporting to the funders. The oversight and strategic direction of the project is guided by a Steering Group made up of representatives from the members of the longstanding umbrella body, 'Advice Centres for Avon' (ACFA).
Full details of the project, including newsletters, updates and developments are contained on the Advice Centres for Avon website: www.advicecentresforavon.org.uk/advice_network.
